DESCRIPTION:Virtual Only \nREGISTRATION IS FREE \nBSGCT Invites you to our next Public and Patient Engagement (PPE) talk. \nIn this talk\, I will cover the pathway scientists follow to take a stem cell therapy from the lab into the hospital. I will focus on our efforts to develop a stem cell therapy for Hirschsprung disease: a congenital disease in which affected children are born missing a nervous system in a variable amount of the distal bowel. Our group is developing a cell therapy to replace these nerves and\, hopefully\, restore bowel function. \nSpeaker  \nDr Benjamin Jevans \nI am dedicated to understanding the processes involved in nerve damage and developing cell-based therapies to repair it.
