Outstanding Achievement Award
Purpose:
The Outstanding Achievement Award is given biennially to an individual who has made significant contributions to the field of gene and cell therapy in the UK.
Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must have conducted extensive original research in basic science, technology development and/or clinical translation in the field of gene and cell therapy

The bulk of the candidate’s relevant work must have been conducted in the UK

Candidates must be members of BSGCT

Candidates must be nominated by a BSGCT member and the nomination seconded by another BSGCT member

The nomination proposal must be made in the application form included below, provide contact details for the nominating and seconding members and proposed candidate, and a brief description of the candidate’s work to support the nomination. The candidate’s CV must be attached.

Awardees must be available to give a presentation on their work at the next BSGCT Annual Conference
Awarding decisions:
The BSGCT board will review the nominations and select the awardee. The board decision will be final.
Prize:
Trophy awarded during a 3-day annual conference
