Deborah Gill

Deborah Gill is Professor of Gene Medicine at the University of Oxford; Head of NDCLS in the Radcliffe Department of Medicine; Co-Director of the Gene Medicine Group with lab space in the John Radcliffe Hospital; and founding member of the UK Respiratory Gene Therapy Consortium.


She is a translational scientist focused on developing viral (LV, AAV) and non-viral (plasmid/liposome) gene therapeutics for rare lung diseases. Applications targeted include the treatment of cystic fibrosis lung disease; ultra-rare lung surfactant protein deficiencies in neonates; and secretion of therapeutic proteins and monoclonal antibodies into lung lumen and systemic circulation.
