Travel Bursary Award for Early Career Researchers
Aim:
To provide funding to allow academic Early Career Researchers (ECRs, defined as PhD students through to any non-tenured academic) to present at major national/international meetings in the Gene & Cell Therapy space. The priority will be to support presentations where the ECR has no travel funds available to support their attendance via their scholarship or funding grant, but in exceptional circumstances this may be used to extend existing available funding.
Value/frequency:
BSGCT will run three calls per annum. In each call up to 4 awards may be made up to a maximum value of £500 per award. No more than 10 awards will be made annually.
*If the application is to attend the BSGCT annual conference, the registration fee will be covered by the BSGCT and the corresponding amount would be reduced from the award.
The cycles will run:
Round 1: January - April – awards made in MAY for conferences JUNE-SEPTEMBER Inclusive
Round 2: May - August – awards will be made in SEPTEMBER for conferences in OCTOBER - JANUARY inclusive.
Round 3: September - December – awards will be made in JANUARY for conferences in FEBRUARY - MAY inclusive.
