Dr. Efstratia Papoutselou is a Clinical Development Scientist and Patient and Public Involvement Lead at Rinri Therapeutics, working at the interface of translational research and early‑phase advanced therapy development for hearing loss. Her work spans the design and planning of first‑in‑human studies, including protocol co‑development, ethics and regulatory submissions. She leads the integration of high‑quality patient and public involvement across the development pathway, ensuring patient insights shape trial design, outcome selection and regulatory strategy.
Alongside her industry role, Efstratia holds an academic appointment at the University of Nottingham, where her research focuses on neural markers of language and auditory processing and patient‑centred outcomes. She completed her PhD in 2023 at the University of Nottingham, where she investigated neural markers of language processing in children, providing a strong foundation in neuroscience and sensory research.
